As we’ve enjoyed this coffee year after year, we’ve built a strong bond with El Peñol community, helping support a program that’s improving life in multiple ways. It starts with recycling centers in area schools and an initiative to instill in area youth a passion for environmental stewardship.
As one local teacher puts it, “If the children learn to take care of the environment when they are small, they are going to be educated adults. When they have families of their own, they will replicate the education in the next generation.” As this community continues to embrace the health of its environment, we savour the opportunity to enjoy its latest remarkable small-lot offering.
